The Hout Bay Manor, built in 1871, is renowned as one of Cape Town's most graceful landmarks. The beautifully restored Hout Bay Manor offers 19 individually designed en suite rooms and a sophisticated fine dining restaurant named Pure!.
Hout Bay Manor, protected by century old oak trees, was built from stone (600mm thick walls) and in traditional Cape Colonial style by Jacob Trautmann on an unspoilt piece of land, which had previously been part of the Kronendal Estate.
2006 saw the start of an 18 month refurbishment that was completed in October 2007 to recapture the charm and beauty of this original home, in a vibrant African culture style. The hotel officially reopened on 26 October 2007. The breathtaking restyled Pavilion is now a contemporary fine dining restaurant, named Pure!.
