The Old School Trout Lodge is situated on the Eastern Escarpment of the Drakensberg. As the area is conducive for tourist activities, 16 product owners formed a tourism organization named the Skurweberg Tourism Organization.
The Old School was named after its historical background. The main building was a farm school dating from late 1800"s. Education was discontinued in mid 1930"s. The building was renovated and converted to a self catering unit.
In late 1990"s three trout dams were constructed and another unit was added to our property. We thus have two fully equipped units, one of which can sleep 6 people and the other 10 people.
We offer trout fishing in two well stocked dams. On prior arrangement, we can arrange horseback riding and hiking trails.
We also have a bar for the more thirsty guests and they can enjoy a game of pool or have a game of darts.
Our units are fully serviced including the washing of the dishes. This offers the guests the opportunity to relax in our tranquil environment and to get away from the rat race.
