Accommodation
river-place-accommodationNestling within the natural beauty of river valley estate are our 16 Deluxe Rooms and 3 Stone-clad Suites, offering comfort and luxury with a sense of timeless tranquillity. Warm colours and versatile textures ensure authentic country style.
Each room has twin beds with an en-suite bathroom (including bath and shower facilities), private patio, DSTV and work station. For a more luxurious option, our Stone Clad Suites overlook the river and include extra-length, king-sized beds and an adjoining lounge area.
Our Honeymoon Suite, appointed with soft hues and sensual decor, is designed with romance in mind.

Weddings
river-place-Wedding1River Place Country Estate is a magnificent Country Wedding and Conference Venue that takes full advantage of the beautiful indigenous gardens, impressive mountain and river views all combining to provide an idyllic wedding experience. The estate consists of 18 hectares of prime river-frontage and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from both Fourways and Centurion.
Our Wedding Coordinators can provide you with invaluable ideas, information and inspiration towards an exciting, yet daunting time for the bride and groom.
river-place-Wedding2Exclusive stone cottages on the estate will give your wedding party all the privacy and time they need to look their best. We can also arrange for hair stylists and make-up artists to come to the venue. The bridal couple will have the option and added convenience of spending their wedding night in our bridal suite and to enjoy a heavenly breakfast/brunch the next morning before going on their way.
You may wish to exchange your vows in one of our stone-clad chapels with stunning views, on the lawns next to the river or at our unique waterfall cove set in a peaceful ravine. You might choose to hold the reception at al Fiume restaurant on the banks of the river… at the open-air café terrace or at our newly built River Lapa, all of which can be specially dressed to create the mood and ambience you want. Menus are prepared by al Fiume’s Executive Chefs for your dining pleasure.

river-place-al-fiumeal Fiume – Italian for ‘at the river’ – has all the ingredients for a great restaurant: a beautiful setting on a shady wooden deck on the banks of the Hennops River and a restaurateur with a passion for food, as well as the experience to ensure outstanding levels of service.
al Fiume serves food that lives up to our definition of quality: the season’s best, cooked with skill and passion and presented with a minimum of fuss.
The cellar at al Fiume is stocked with a diverse choice of Italian and South African wines. The selection includes everyday drinking wines and wines for special occasions; wines from some of South Africa’s best-known estates and unusual wines from smaller estates.
al Fiume is a restaurant for all seasons: long, lazy summer days on the wooden deck; bright spring days when the first signs of green are starting to appear on the trees overhanging the river; bracing winter days when you might want to work off your meal with a brisk walk over the bridge and cozy autumn days when you can sit snugly in the restaurant and watch the falling leaves floating down the river.
