At the park visitors have the opportunity to view a large variety of predators and large herbivores at close range. The Lion Park also has some rare white lions, as well as cheetah, wild dog, brown hyena, striped hyena, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal, side-striped jackal, and various species of antelope. The park is open 365 days of the year.
Lonehill Koppie is a great spot for birders. As many as 70 different species have been recorded there. Ibis, kite, guinea fowl, eagle owl, cuckoo and heron are frequently sighted.
