At the entrance to St Francis Bay, Thatchwood Country Lodge overlooks the 6th fairway of the st francis golf course and opposit the entrance of the Jack Nicklaus links. Bedrooms offer all the comforts including telephones and televisions, and some lead to a private garden or sundeck. Stroll down the fairways to the unspoilt white beaches and watch the dolphins and whales, or enjoy a sunset cruise on the canals. Or just relax at our swimming pool in our garden. The moderate length of the course will ensure a pleasurable game for the average golfer, yet provide the challenge of thinking golf for those wishing to break par 71. Our par 71 course includes five par 3"s and is destined to become the best 18 hole holiday course in the Eastern Cape.

On warm summer days you can relax at the poolside, whilst the cosy lounge invites friendly conversation around the fireplace in winter. The lodge is fully licensed and guests are invited to help themselves at the honesty bar. Superb buffet breakfasts are served in the enclosed patio, to the accompaniment of birdsong provided by the prolific birdlife in the natural vegetation surrounding the lodge.
