Thornbush Inn Complex is a unique place offering upmarket holidaying and conference facilities. Enter through the main gates and what will behold you is a magnificent sight of thatched buildings, thatched lapa's, winding roads, and pathways encasing landscaped gardens, water features, and wild life statues, not to mention the Bee Hive huts, traditionally known in Zulu as *Ighugwane+, these being fascination to any overseas visitors.
There are double en suite chalets superbly decorated in individual ethnic themes, family size chalets - ideal for the family getaway or annual vacation, self catering chalets - boasting all the necessities for the family comforts which include T.V.M.Net, DSTV, Microwave, fridge, oven, kettle etc. Crisp linen adorns the beds.
The Dining Hall is an exquisite building under thatch. Within the room you are greeted by statues of a Zulu warriors, a large tiled soccer ball inset in the floor, this of course, in preparation for 2010. A large range of windows shows the extensive view. The dining hall is perfect for weddings and functions of any nature as it has it's own kitchen and catering facility.
There is a magnificent building under thatch. It has its own kitchen, a private bar, boardroom and conference hall complete with rear projector TV, computerized projector with white screen and laptop, and sound system. There is a mezzanine floor which houses the Gallery Lounge. The d#cor is enhanced by the purpose made furnishings in Mozambican Teak wood. All facilities are of the highest standard.
Fountains, indigenous flora, and a bird sanctuary, which contains such birds as Ringtails, Fantails, Love Birds, enhance the tranquil atmosphere of the complex. The majestic figurines of Elephant, Tiger, rhino etc., are made of ironwood from Zimbabwe.
The Lapa's are of varying size. The uniqueness is the furnishings beneath the thatch which includes wicker lounge furniture, T.V. M.Net, DSTV, Gas Braai. The Lapa's are ideal for simply relaxing or even facilitate small workshops.
The swimming pool is situated in the centre of the grounds, within easy reach of all guests. Within the complex this is the smaller of the two swimming pools. It has a lapa overlooking the pool with toilet facilities. The tranquillity of nature abounds within the complex. The far-reaching views, untainted fresh air all contribute to this unique venue.
