Zur Wildgans is a private self-catering guest house Situated 3 km north of Plettenberg Bay. The area is unique in that it is the only place in the world where you can see an elephant and a whale in the same day.Your hosts Volker and Janine Bachle, will welcome you to the beautiful 10 ha farm they have made their home, in the heart of the scenic garden route, where over 20 days of the month are spent in sunshine. This lodge has wonderful views of the bay & the Wittedrift Valley. Spend a relaxing time on the wooden deck with it's wonderful views of the Bitou River. Your hosts are fluent in English, Afrikaans and German.

An open plan, cosy living area with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen-cum-dining area and sitting room with a sleeper couch which sleeps two. A veranda extends around the entire house, offering spectacular views over the Bitou river estuary and the Stonefield Polo fields with the Formosa mountain range in the East and the Indian Ocean in the South.
Just below the Guest House is a large dam which is the home of numerous indigenous birds and farm poultry. There is a nice jetty with comfortable outdoor furniture, barbecue facility and a jungle gym for the kids. The ideal sport to park off, relax and enjoy your sun-downer.
The area around Plettenberg Bay has numerous activities to occupy you. Besides the beautiful beaches, there are attractions such as Monkeyland, The Elephant Sanctuary, Whale Watching boat trips, A Bird Sanctuary and two world class golf courses. The Keurbooms River has ferry trips which take you far inland to experience indigenous forests and the large varity of bird-life.
We are walking distance from Emily Moon Restaurant. All along the Garden Route are many charming seaside resorts, attracting travellers from around the world.
