On the edge of the beautiful Knysna lagoon, our spacious guesthouse offers luxurious comfort, tranquillity and spectacular views.

Amanzi Island Lodge is an upmarket guesthouse on Leisure Isle that balances comfort and luxury in beautiful surroundings. Our guesthouse accommodation offers visitors wonderful views of the Knysna lagoon and the Featherbed Nature Reserve on the majestic Knysna Heads.
Our guest bedrooms are very spacious and luxuriously appointed. They open out onto either a private balcony or deck where you can soak up the sun and take in the abundant natural beauty of the Garden Route. Five of our bedrooms overlook the Knysna lagoon while the sixth room looks out over the garden towards the northern Knysna hills.

Our Standard Lagoon Facing room is a comfortable room on the ground floor that opens out onto a deck in the front garden overlooking the lagoon and the Knysna Heads.
The en-suite bathroom has a shower, and the beds can be made up as King or Twins with an optional extra bed for a third person.

The Deluxe Garden Facing unit is a light and spacious apartment consisting of lounge and kitchenette that inter-lead to a sunny bedroom. Glass folding doors open from the lounge onto a sunny private garden with sun loungers and umbrella. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over bath, and the beds can be made up as King or Twins.
A sofa bed is available on request for a third person. The apartment can connect to the Deluxe lagoon facing room and the Deluxe garden facing room which would be ideal for a group of 4 or 6 people who would like use of a kitchenette during their stay.
(Breakfast is included in the price per night, but if you would prefer not to have breakfast just let us know so that we can discount your rate accordingly).

The Deluxe Garden Facing Room is a private, very spacious and sunny upstairs room with folding doors that open the room out onto a balcony. Views are over the garden and the rooftops of Leisure Isle towards the northern hills of Knysna.
The beds can be made up as King or Twins with an optional extra bed for a third person. The ensuite bathroom has double basins, a shower and bath. Air-conditioned.

The Deluxe Lagoon Facing Room is a very light and spacious upstairs room on the west side of the lodge that opens out onto a balcony and looks down the side of the lodge towards the lagoon.
The beds can be made up as King or Twins with an optional extra bed for a third person. The en-suite bathroom has a bath, shower and double basins and looks into the boughs of a Milkwood tree.

Our Superior Rooms are the best rooms with the best views in the house! Each spacious room has its own magic and offers guests spectacular views of the lagoon and the Knysna Heads.
The rooms open out either onto a private balcony or onto a deck in the front garden.
The beds in the Superior rooms are luxurious extra long King beds, and the bathrooms have a bath, double shower and double basins. Special touches make for additional pampering.
Perfect for honeymoons, wedding anniversaries and those who'd just like to treat themselves!

Or spend a day on Leisure Isle relaxing by our swimming pool. You're welcome to take one of the bicycles for a spin and explore the island or paddle a canoe on the lagoon.

An internet station (at a nominal fee) is available for guests to keep in contact with friends and family, and those who have brought their work with them can access our wireless network.
After a hard day’s relaxation come and join us for a sundowner at our honesty bar and we'll gladly make dinner reservations for you at one of the nearby restaurants.

A sunset sailing excursion take your fancy? Whale watching? Elephant-back riding? A bungy jump? Just let us know what and when and we'll gladly make those reservations for you.
In the heart of the Garden Route, Knysna is perfectly positioned for you to easily explore all the beauty and activities that the area has to offer.

Aside from the beautiful lagoon and exquisite scenery that you'll take in around Knysna's bustling town, there are numerous wonderful beach, forest and cliff top walks in the Garden Route. Knysna also offers a host of activities such as golfing, ocean safaris, sailing and sunset cruises.

The Garden Route is home to a number of bird and animal sanctuaries; Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Eagle Encounters, The Knysna Elephant Park and Tenikwa Wild Cat Education Centre are all just down the road.
The area is also home to three beautiful Nature Reserves. Across the water from the lodge is the Featherbed Reserve. Robberg is a thirty minute drive and Tsitsikamma, home to the world-famous Otter Trail, is a little further along.
