Amber Creek Guest House is situated on a lovely country estate on the banks of the Klip River in Vereeniging. Nestled in a farming community, but only a stone"s throw from shopping malls, restaurants, gymnasiums, golf courses and the Vaal river, we offer absolute tranquil and luxurious facilities.
Our guests are invited to relax and a take a stroll along the banks of the river or just sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the weeping willows and the waterfowl at the water"s edge.
All our facilities are primarily based on self catering and all units are en-suite. We however offer an additional service to our longer term guests by means of daily stocking the kitchenette (where applicable) with groceries as per guest requests. We also provide a lunch pack for those people who work too hard and have no time available to buy themselves a lunch somewhere. Furthermore we also provide a health breakfast delivered to your unit.

Because we understand the importance of privacy, all units have private entrances and do not share any of the facilities. As previously mentioned, all our units are equipped with en-suite facilities and in addition to that we offer DSTV, coffee tea tray or full kitchenette (where applicable) and a bar fridge. The units equipped with a kitchenette features the following:
microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, utensils, HOB, outside braai..
Each unit is allocated a covered parking bay. We also provide car washing facilities upon request - week days only.
Internet access is also available free of charge upon request.
Being on the river"s edge, our property is frequented by breeding pairs of Egyptian Geese, which choose our property to raise their chicks.
You might also be lucky enough to spot our resident otter or the family of mongoose roaming the river"s edge during the day time.
At night you will definitely bump into our rabbit family and if you wait patiently you might also see the porcupines digging for roots and bulbs and if you are really lucky you might spot the jackal looking for some prey.
We frequently get visits from various species of birds. You might spot Guinea fowl, Heron, White Faced Duck, Barbet, Redbilled Woodhoopoe, Pied Kingfisher, Burchell"s Coucal, Swainson"s Francolin, Hadeda, Sacred Ibis, Darter, Egret, Spoonbill, African Black Duck, Yellowbilled Duck, Moorhen, Plover, Dikkop, to name a few.
Due to its conservancy status, motorised boating is not allowed on the Klip River. You however may utilise a canoe or kayak on the river. The river teams with fish and is ideal for fishing.
In the summer time the river frequently breaks its banks, which transforms the lower laying areas into a lake, 10 times the size of the normal flow of the river.
