A stone throw from The V&A Waterfront and the bustle of Long Street, Bistro on Rose offers relaxed dining with an ever changing menu and daily specials.
Situated in the Bo Kaap in the heart of Cape Town Bistro on Rose offers a relaxed and casual dining experience. The interior reflects casual sophistication with the colours and mood of the Bo Kaap.
Bistro on Rose caters for a wide selection of tastes and have various popular vegetarian options on the menu as well as a fully licensed bar with well priced South African wines & spirits. Our resident mixologist creates traditional and Bistro original cocktails or mocktails If you are looking for great meal, cocktail, or a cup of coffee from African hand roasted beans Bistro on Rose looks forward to hosting you.

Free, secure, basement parking with direct lift access.
Smoking: Bistro on Rose is located in a non smoking venue; however we have a patio overlooking Rose Street where guests may smoke.
Sound: due to restrictions (see below) we have a small PA which runs all mp3’s and IPODS. For special sound requirements please see special requirements section below. We have found our in-house music PA to be sufficient for most events held.
Operation times: We can accommodate all functions from as early as 8am and run as late as 12am when our Bar closes.
Bar Facilities: Bistro on Rose has a fully stocked bar which can be run on account or cash, a full cocktail and signature Drink menu and a wine menu.
Venue Hire: Our venue Hire is dependent on the type of function, menu and guests catered for. The range is between R500 and R1000 and is payable 7 days prior to the event. This fee is negotiable.
A market related quote will be provided for any specialized crockery, cutlery & tableware and furnishings required.

Venue Restrictions:
- Bistro on Rose has exclusive rights to all catering in the venue with exception of wedding cakes and birthday cakes.
- Bistro on Rose does offer a corkage fee of R 35 for wine and R 45 for Champagne or MCC’s.
- Due to our licenses we are restricted to moderate background music and are not permitted to have any live music, DJ’s or discos, with the exception of live background acoustics.
Special requirements:
Lighting sound & Décor: Our preferred provider for all lighting and Décor is SMD Lighting, one of the leading décor and lighting companies in Cape Town.
Photography: Our preferred photography provider is Digital Moment who offer all forms of photography services and solutions including intimate shoots, large event photography and photo booths.
