Blakeney Game Farm 2012
Blakeney Farm is in the Waterberg, 25km out of Lephalale, formerly known as Ellisras. It is a truly unspoiled wilderness area between high cliffs, with the Tamboti River running through it. Here you will find a different wild - bushveld with streams, valleys, high cliffs and flat areas on top of the mountains.
The animals vary from warthog, bush pig, baboons, monkeys, klipspringer, mountain reedbuck, bushbuck, nyala, impala, kudu, blue wildebeest, zebra and waterbuck to leopard and brown hyena. Nocturnal life is also abundant. There is so much to appreciate - beauty, birds, trees and the wildlife. Get carried away by the sound of the river running over rocks and rapids. You will leave here feeling refreshed by the peace that will infuse your soul. Not to mention the romantic side of things. ideal for a romantic brake away.
The camp is an old farm house at the base of a mountain that has been beautifully renovated. The river runs in front of the camp.
The camp doesn"t have Eskom electricity, therefore everything runs on gas. The generator will be started for you when necessary but unfortunately not for blow drying your hair Fridges run on gas, so remember to bring lots of ice. (Only for self caterers)
Camp consists of:
3 Rooms each with two beds and en-suite bathroom.
Room with bunker beds for 6 children with separate bathroom.
Room with 2 single beds with separate bathroom
