Accommodation

The Devon Valley Hotel’s 50 stylishly furnished suites reflect the contemporary colonial feel of the hotel while enjoying unobstructed views of the mountains, vineyards and olive groves. The spacious Luxury rooms and Executive suites in the Manor House are the hotel’s premier offering, ideal for a romantic escape or a rejuvenating retreat.

Classic Rooms
The Classic Rooms are situated in the historic Cedarwood building and has been tastefully refurbished to reflect the contemporary colonial feel of the hotel. The valley facing rooms each have their own private decks and the north facing rooms open into private courtyards with wonderful views of the vineyards or olive groves.

Manor House
The luxury addition to the hotel is the recently completed Manor House. These stylishly decorated rooms are the ultimate in luxurious Winelands accommodation. This section now boasts the main executive suite, two junior suites and four luxury rooms, all individually and tastefully decorated, with a private pool & jacuzzi.

Vineyard Rooms
The brand new Vineyard Rooms will come on line in November 2008. The new building will house eight luxury rooms, including fire places and 12 Classic rooms with unobstructed views of the valley from their private patios and balconies. These contemporary and elegant rooms carry over the unique design elements that have made the Devon Valley Hotel an award winning destination.

Dining

Flavours Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with contemporary Cape Cuisine. The restaurant has a gentle and homely ambience giving any special occasion understated elegance in a picturesque setting. The restaurant's focus is on bold flavours, celebrating classic, uncomplicated dishes and fresh, clean tastes - best described as a concept of food that is essentially simple, but where flavour always comes first.

Vineyards

The Terrace overlooks the SylvanVale Vineyards with breathtaking views of the mountains and Stellenbosch Winelands. A full bar and seasonal al fresco menu is also available. Our cosy and tastefully decorated lounge and bar, with fireplace, offers one of the most comprehensive collections of Single Malt Whiskies in the country. The Devon Valley Hotel is surrounded by its working vineyard. SylvanVale Wine Tasting takes place daily from 10h00 until 20h00.

Conferencing

There are seven conference venues which are flooded with natural light, are air-conditioned and are configurable to almost any seating requirement, comfortably catering for up to 96 guests inside and 120 outside.

Facilities include laundry and dry cleaning services. Secretarial services are available as is a communication centre offering internet access. Free parking is available with 24-hour security including 24-hour medical assistance.

A luxury eight-seater vehicle offers transfers for guests to Stellenbosch CBD, Cape Town International Airport and surrounding areas at an additional cost. Room service is available between 07:00-23:00.

Outdoor facilities include two swimming pools, a jacuzzi, petanque, vineyard hiking trails, golf, wine blending, "Potjiekos" and a variety of activities hosted by Dynamic Corporate Activities. Wine Tasting and Food and Wine pairing is also offered by the hotel.

ATTRACTIONS IN THE AREA

Golfers have the options of numerous excellent golf courses within 10 to 30 minutes radius of the hotel namely; DevonVale, De Zalze, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Pearl Valley, Erinvale and Strand.

The beautiful sandy beaches of Strand are less than 25 minutes away. Gordon's Bay and the ever popular Bikini Beach, adjacent to the harbour and yacht club, is a further 10 minutes` drive. Boating and fishing are available from the harbour.

Tutored wine tasting afternoons at the hotel or private tastings and cellar tours at many nearby estates can be arranged on request.

For the more serious hiker, the Stellenbosch Vineyard Hiking Trail starts at the Sugarbird Manor, near the entrance to the Devon Valley Road and meanders through 12km or 24km of peaceful vineyards.
