The canyons of Seweweekspoort are a spectacular miniature of some of the great geological vistas of the world. They are just around the corner from our sweet and secret valley between the Witteberg and the Groot Swartberg Mountains, in the Little Karoo.

/.Hartland Farm is run by two refugees from the city:
an ex plumber and an ex lawyer who have done their time. Because of a love of nature they now grow olives, lavender, herbs and organic veggies, keep free range chickens, ducks, turkeys, and rare white guinea fowl, milk three cows, make a bit of cheese, watch a breeding pair of ostriches raise their young and if you bring children they!ll love our touch pen where they can meet Cameroon Dwarf Goats, ducks, geese and tortoises. A gentle meander along farm paths will introduce you to friendly milk cows, calves, sheep, squealing piglets and forever pregnant sows.
Accommodation is self-catering with electricity and all you need on a holiday sleep-over, or camping style with romantic candles and gas. All cottages have facilities for outdoor braaiing, and some have outdoor showers andor baths to allow a true experience of the magnificent Karoo stars and fresh, clean air. We have no television, no radios, just bird-song.

/.And at your request we will deliver to your doorstep a basket of fresh farm goodies in season:
free range eggs, full cream or skim milk, double cream - farm butter, freshly baked bread, jams, cheese and even cakes by prior arrangement. Also available is fresh Karoo lamb and free range pork. And of course our own fresh mountain spring water to top it all!
