The West Coast is a bird watchers paradise and carpets of wild flowers and fynbos cover the region from Mid-July to Mid October. The clear, calm waters of the bay are ideal for swimming, boating and diving. Crayfish, snoek, galjoen and hottentot teem in the bay. There is launching facilities for light vessels (literally a minute drive). Ideal for mountain biking.
It is 150km west of Cape Town. Nearest Airport Cape Town International - 165km. The house is well-situated for day visits to the West Coast National Park, the West Coast Fossil Park, Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, the quaint fishing village of Paternoster, Tieties Bay. Elands Bay, Veldrif and Lamberts Bay even to explore some wine routes. Shelley Point golf course and clubhouse with Cattle Barron are only a five minute drive away.
