Bardelli’s is situated in the leafy southern suburbs; it was established in 1992 and occupies the same site, an old house built in the late 18 hundreds, for the past 17 years. It has developed into a meander of different rooms and a lovely courtyard over time. Most of the staff have been cooking here for over 10 years. Many customers have been frequenting this homely restaurant either opting for a cosy sit down meal or a phone and collect takeaway. It is considered by many a traveller as having the best pizza in the world. The value offering is great considering the quality and the generous ingredients.

Enter the restaurant and you will immediately feel as if you were in Italy. The smell of hearty Pasta and Pizza and the bustle of customers with Italian cafe style music playing in the background. Meander into a little bar and then into a room seating a few tables which is often used for private functions of between 10 and sixteen people, through a slightly smaller room and into a courtyard that can seat up to fifty people. You can be excused for feeling you are in Italy. Memorabilia of old Italia, wooden floors and chairs and old traditional table clothes fill the many small rooms. Imported ingredients and the finest local products are sourced. The menu is comprehensive ranging from traditional Italian starters, fresh salads with calamari and fillet options, a wide range of delicious imported and home-made pasta, award winning pizza’s with well portioned toppings and a small list of traditional and local desserts.

A good and well priced wine list compliments the quality Italian cuisine offering opening price points to the best affordable wines. As is traditional in typical Italian restaurants the wine list is hand-picked by the owner and the best value rather than the cheapest wines are selected for pouring by the glass.
