Bird Haven Lodge is situated at 91 Cockspur Road, in the well established, leafy suburb of Weltevredenpark.
Constructed out of face brick and wood, the guest house has a distinctly rustic appearance. The large thatch roof compliments this appearance and creates a tranquil African bush-veld atmosphere.
The double storey guest house is self contained and features 3 luxury suites named after famous raptors (birds of prey) as follows:
The Eagle, The Bateleur, and The Osprey.
The open plan lounge is spacious and the atmosphere is casual and relaxing.
The cluster of easy chairs are well appointed to watch television, or just have a conversation. The 74cm remote control television is linked to the full DSTV bouquet.
An additional reading lamp is provided for reading, and there is a basket with a variety of magazines
A remote control ceiling fan provides the necessary ventilation on a hot summers day.
Wooden french doors lead onto the garden. With the doors open, the lush green garden and sounds of birds spill into the lounge. For the hot summer evenings there is a garden patio, nestled in the well lit garden.
Our evergreen landscaped garden is secluded and tranquil.
A large variety of wild birds frequent our garden and bird watching is one of the favourite pass times at Bird Haven Lodge.
Our 60,000 litre pool is salt chlorinated and solar heated and can be enjoyed all year round.
Inside the main area overlooking the pool there is a pub where on can enjoy a refreshing sundowner and relax or enjoy a game of pool.
Bird Haven Lodge is conveniently situated with easy access to the N1 Highway. Within a radius of 5 km there are a variety of shops, restaurants, gyms, and hospitals.
