Situated in the heart of Sandton is one of Gauteng’s premier equestrian and family-friendly member clubs. Location, convenience and a range of accommodation, polo, sporting and banqueting facilities - the Inanda Club has it all.

The Inanda Club was founded in 1934 and is set on 40 acres of lush country estate in the heart of a vibey Sandton. Inanda, meaning beautiful in Zulu, is a sanctuary of privacy, safety and indulgence created to reflect the natural beauty of its beautiful surrounds. It is the only remaining green lung in Sandton and offers a way of life that is reminiscent of country living and rural tranquility.

Accommodation

There are twelve charming and secure cottages ranging from studios to family suites and rates include a delicious full breakfast. Accommodation facilities include laundry, tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge and TV with M-Net, Movie Magic, SABC and E-TV. Bathrooms are equipped with a bath and overhead shower.

Heaters and warm blankets keep our guests warm and snug on cold evenings. Eight of the cottages overlook the pool area and are north facing and sunny. Guests are welcome to use the club’s sporting facilities as well as the dining areas. The gardens are perfect to wander around or relax under a tree with a good book.

Facilities

On site sporting facilities include a large swimming pool, two squash courts, two all weather tennis courts, horse riding school, bowls, cricket, polo and walking and jogging. On site dining facilities include the Terrace Restaurant (a la carte menu) and Da Vinci Alfresco Restaurant (Mediterranean menu).

Other facilities includes wide open spaces to walk and run in, venues for meetings, corporate events, function hire, banqueting, wedding packages (available on request) and conference packages (available on request), National Bird of Prey Centre and children’s play area. The club is access controlled with 24-hour security, 7 days a week and there is ample secure parking.

Weddings & Conferences

Our venues provide an idyllic setting for both business & pleasure purposes. From our elegant “Edwardian” style Ballroom with its panoramic views over the Club gardens, to the colonial Pavilion set amongst lush trees considering the Club's city location, our venues certainly provide that "out of town sensation", coupled with a unique ambience of peace and tranquility.

The Inanda Club's Ballroom, with an outlook over the Club's beautiful gardens provides an ideal platform for a perfect wedding. As all brides want to be the sole focus of their special day, with this in mind only one wedding on any one day takes place.

Equestrian Activities

The equestrian nature of the club runs thick through the Inanda Club’s veins and is the medium through which the oxygen is carried to its limbs. The activities of polo, hunting, jumping and dressage are the reasons this club was founded and the reasons why it continues to survive and prosper.

The Inanda Club’s Polo Section fields a highly competitive team, a force to be reckoned with in national and provincial competitions. To raise the awareness of polo and develop a pipeline of future players, the Inanda Club has opened a Novice and Kids Polo School. The school is open to all riders and non riders from pre-teens and upwards, and takes place in a secure and controlled environment.

This strong equestrian heritage is only a part of what the Inanda Club has to offer members of all ages. The club offers cricket, bowls, tennis, squash, swimming and a secure area to walk or jog in. There is a choice of restaurants and bars, banqueting and venue hire facilities and accommodation.

We are very proud to be one of only a few clubs that is family friendly and offers an environment that is safe and secure for families to unwind and spend quality time together. The large grounds, enclosed swimming pool, playground area and riding school are ideal for keeping the children entertained.
