Hawklee Country House is set on 5 hectares of unspoiled Midlands beauty, on the banks of the Lions River. We offer bed & breakfast accommodation in our 6 spacious free standing thatched cottages. All accommodation is en-suite and every Hawklee guest suite features a private spa bath. Most of our cottages have beautiful views of the Lions River. We also have a beautiful private Honeymoon suite for that romantic occasion.

Delicious Country Cuisine dining is offered on the premises as well as a cozy pub.
Should you wish to take a gentle stroll and have a picnic alongside the river we offer picnic baskets full of delicious treats to tempt the taste buds.

We are close to all amenities of the Midlands Meander and the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains and only 1 hours pleasurable drive to the coast.
Hawklee Country House offers thatched accommodation in six spacious free standing luxury double cottages on the Fort Nottingham Road just 13 kms from Nottingham Road. All accommodation is en-suite and features a private romantic spa bath with a view of the Lions River.

Hawklee Country House in the Fort Nottingham area offers diners hearty country cuisine, prepared and cooked in an authentic farmhouse kitchen. Our dinners are priced at R 185 per person and we offer a 3 course meal with a choice on the menu plus Coffee or tea while you relax in front of our lovely fire in the lounge on the cooler evenings.

Our full English breakfasts, Midlands-style luncheons and traditional full course dinners are served on the terrace overlooking the Lions River, or in the intimate dining room, depending on the weather and the preference of guests. Country teas served on the terrace are a speciality and guests can order a picnic basket lunch to enjoy on the riverbank or while exploring the attractions of the surrounding countryside.

We provide picnic baskets for that romantic special occasion from R250.00 per basket filled with lovely treats and chocolates to eat. Our lovely Honeymoon baskets for R 450 are filled with Ferro Roche chocolates, Champagne, nuts, fruit, pillar candles for around the bath to create that romantic feel and 2 lovely Champagne Glasses with our Hawklee Logo on as a keepsake.
